Bungie has lifted the wraps off its planned summer roadmap for Engram-gobbling shooter Destiny 2, confirming a host of new features will be winging their way to the sequel in July.

With the game's second expansion, Warmind, now having been deployed and offering Guardians plenty more loot to grind for, the studio is now looking to ensure things don't dry up over the next few months.

First out the gate will be update 1.2.1, which drops on May 29 and brings with it improvements to Faction Rallies, Crucible Labs, and tweaks to the Exotic armour lineup.

Things heat up in July however, with numerous key updates rolling out including the Solstice of Heroes Seasonal Event, Bounties, Year 1 Triumphs, plus a heap more changes to the Exotics system.

Bungie also teased what we can expect from Year 2 of Destiny 2, with new gameplay modes, records, and gear collections among other new additions planned. We're also getting a new expansion at some point, so there's that to look out for too.

If you're still on the fence about Destiny 2, be sure to read Alice's review instead of listening to the naysayers. Haters gonna hate, 'in all that.

When you're done, you can also watch me fail horribly at Warmind's second mission if you fancy a good laugh.
