Bungie has rolled out the latest Destiny 2 update, kicking off a brand new season for the loot shooter.
One of the biggest changes with Season of the Drifter are aimed at Gambit mode, the PvP/PvE mashup that launched with Destiny 2's Forsaken expansion. Here, the third round of Gambit picks up the pace, with the Primeval boss spawning right away and giving things more of a sudden death makeover.
Taken Blockers have also been switched up. There's now Goblins, Captains, and Knight acting as the small, medium, and large blockers, respectively. In addition, private matches will be released on April 2.
Elsewhere, the update applies a boatload of changes to various weapons in the game. For example, Submachine Guns have had their base damage increased, while Grenade Launchers and Trace Rifles now have increased damage for PvE.
Bungie has also bumped the game's Power cap to 700, so that means there's still plenty of grinding to be done. What else is new, eh?
