Destiny 2: Xur’s location and inventory this weekend, September 29

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego Xur? Destiny and Destiny 2’s nomadic salesman makes a special appearance every week, popping up in a different place every time. This week Xur has pitched up on Io, on the right side of the map near the Giant’s Scar. He’ll be there right through to October 3.

If you want to keep his inventory of exotic gear this week a secret until you see it with your own eyes, skip then skip the rest of this, but if not then we’ve got a quick rundown. All items have a max power level of 270, but will scale to the level of your character.

Xur’s exotic weapon this week is Riskrunner, a submachine gun with an ability called Arc Conductor, which means that taking arc damage actually increases Riskrunner’s power. While Arc Conductor is active, Riskrunner’s shots also have the chance to become chain lighting and return ammo, which isn’t too shabby at all. Riskrunner costs 29 Legendary Shards.

Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves are a pair of Hunter Class gauntlets with high mobility and spring-loaded mounting, increasing your sidearm ready and reload speed, though this is a pretty common buff so you’d be forgiven for passing on these this week. They’ll set you back 23 Legendary Shards. 

Titan Class Guardians get the option of the Hallowfire Heart chest armour, which greatly improves the recharge of Solar abilities when your Hammer of Sol attack is charged, and will again cost 23 Legendary Shards.

Finally, the Warlock Class gear is some leg armour called Transversive Steps. When you sprint in these bad boys your movement speed is increased and energy weapons auto-reload, which is a great ability, especially if you main with energy weapons. 23 Legendary Shards once again.
