It’s Friday which means it’s Xur-time. The tendril-blessed merchant swans back into the world of Destiny 2 with a bunch of wares on offer. This week he’s had enough of shinnying up trees (for a bit), and he’s headed over to the Rig on Titan. If you check your map, you’ll see him loitering east of the nearest fast-travel point.
Xur is selling a range of items this time around, and if you don’t want to spoil the surprise you’ll probably want to look away now.
The obvious pick of the bunch this week is the auto rifle Sweet Business. It looks like a futuristic version of the Gatling gun, but sadly it’s not considered a top-tier Exotic by some folks in the community. Sweet Business is a Kinetic weapon, which means that you’ll need to make every shot count. It’s going for 29 Legendary Shards.
If you’re a fan of using the Arcstrider subclass then the Raiden Flux chest armour comes in quite handy, and will increase your resilience and health recovery. It’ll boost your damage dealt and extend the duration of your Arc Staff special. This chest armour goes for 23 Legendary Shards.
There are also some Doom Fang Pauldron gauntlets, and they’re a great pickup for the Sentinel-loving Titans out there. These make their return after being on offer during Xur’s first week in Destiny. You can pick these up for 23 Legendary Shards.
Finally, there are the Winter’s Guile gauntlets, and these are useful for Warlocks. Despite initially feeling quite underwhelming, these become essential when playing as the Devour Voidwalker. Quick successive attacks with these make your melee attack stupendously powerful, and it’ll take you no time to get rid of all the enemies in range. These are also 23 Legendary Shards.
Each of the items being sold by Xur come with a max power level of 270, and a base power of 265 along with the Legendary purple mod that boosts the total value by five. Just remember that Xur’s weapons scale to your character’s power level, so don’t buy anything with your lower level alt character(s).
