The developer behind Destiny 2 has revealed how it plans on sprucing up the game’s Crucible mode with March’s impending update 1.1.4, following a host of feedback from users.
First up, Bungie has been poking and prodding with respawn and revive features in Destiny 2’s PvP offering. Specifically, respawn times for all Quickplay and Survival modes have been reduced to 2s and 7s, respectively, while revive tokens are no longer lost upon kicking the bucket.
In addition, Power Ammo respawn times have been tweaked throughout all Crucible offerings: Iron Banner (~50%), Quickplay (~30%), Survival (~40%), and Countdown (~25%). To complement these changes, Guardians will now cough up their Power Ammo when defeated so you can pinch it for yourself.
Bungie is also looking to clamp down on team shotting — whereby teams can gang up on other players and stomp all over them — by updating its competitive modes to ensure it’s more difficult to bundle up with teammates.
There’s a heap more info available on the developer’s latest blog post, so make sure you give it a look. Don’t forget that Iron Banner is still live and kicking until next Tuesday, so if you’re looking to hoover up some new loot you still have time to participate.
Destiny 2 will receive a new expansion in May and there’s a third one in the pipeline for later this year.
