Data miners have been busy scrutinising yet more Destiny 2 game files, with their latest snooping apparently confirming the return of the Valentine’s Day-themed Crimson Days event for Bungie’s shared-world shooter.
The files in question (via Game Rant) reveal new ornaments for a number of popular weapons, such as Sweet Business, Prometheus Lens, and Graviton Lance. Big deal right? Well, possibly, but considering these ornaments come with what looks suspiciously like the lovey-dovey icon used to mark the original Crimson Days event, fans are convinced the mode is making a comeback.Â
Crimson Days was available in the first Destiny over the Valentine’s Day period, and offered a number of Crucible matches focused on doubles. After all, who needs romantic gestures when you can shoot other gamers in the face with your significant other, eh?
Bungie may have overhauled this year’s offering however, as Destiny 2’s Crucible offering differs from its predecessor in terms of player count and playlists. Also, it’s worth noting that nothing official regarding Crimson Days has been confirmed yet, so take this with a dose of salt for now.
Read our Destiny 2 review to see if Bungie’s latest epic space shooter managed to improve over the 2014 original.Â
