Destiny 2 hasn’t had an entirely smooth launch so far. There’s always a bit of queuing when a multiplayer game first launches, ‘cos everyone tries to get online at once, but a bunch of prospective Guardians on PS4 were having bumper issues last night.

Bungie confirmed on Twitter that they were investigating some PS4 users ‘receiving errors indicating permissions to access online multiplayer may have changed.’ As of this morning those investigations were ongoing.

These issues coincide with a wider problems accessing PSN. Meanwhile, Xbox One players were, last night, having trouble finding Crucible matches.

Some people are having issues on Xbox even launching the game, however: Dan Webb and Rich Walker from our sister site at Xbox Achievements are receiving an error telling them that the game won’t start because it doesn’t release until September 20 instead of, uh, now.

The majority of issues seem to be affecting the PS4 build, however, so keep an eye on your network access.

Update: The launch issues on Xbox One described above seem to be affecting media rather than consumers, so you’re probably fine for that specific problem
