Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris lands on December 5, and in preparation Bungie has announced that the base game is to receive some upgrades to take advantage of the newer Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro consoles upon the expansion’s release.
In the weekly This Week at Bungie post, the developer has revealed that December 5 will see a title update deployed that enables HDR lighting for both new consoles, ‘adaptive 4K resolution’ for the PlayStation 4 Pro and 4K on the Xbox One X. At the same time, Season Two will commence for the shooter to go alongside the expansion’s release on the same day.
To that end, Bungie also note that the time for the regular weekly reset will also shift a few hours, noting that with Destiny 1 players would run into issues when the weekly resets would not coincide with new content releases. To try and prevent this from happening with Trials of Osiris, from December 5 the weekly reset will now take place at 5PM in the afternoon UK time.
Finally, Bungie note that next weekend, November 17, will see the game’s first Clarion Call take place which will grant every player the opportunity to earn Double XP as long as they’re in a fireteam with another clan member. However, there will be future Clarion Calls that won’t require you to play with a clan for those who prefer solo play.
Trials of Osiris for Destiny 2 lands on December 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
