Bungie has detailed its plans for the latest season of additional content for Destiny 2: Forsaken, showing off what to expect from the Season of Opulence when it kicks off next week.

The meain features of the new content will see the addition of the Menagerie, a new six player matchmade activity that features challenges and rewards that change every time you play it. This will be joined by the new Crown of Sorrow raid, challenging Guardians to 'seek the most valuable treasures in the underbelly of the Leviathan."

There's plenty of new weapons and armour to grab, and gameplay changes include the introduction of a Power Surge mechanic which will let Foresaken owners catch up to the power levels of other Guardians. There's also new Pinnacle Gear, and a free seasonal event known as the Solistice of Heroes to look forward to.

The full details of the season can of course be found on the Destiny 2 website, and here's a trailer to get you in the mood. Destiny 2 is available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and is now an entirely Bungie led operation after splitting from Activision earlier in the year.
