It’s had an excellent run of nine years, but the online servers to Demon’s Souls, the very first game in From Software’s much loved Souls series, are to be switched off early next year.
As per the Twitter announcement the online services for the game, which came out on PS3 all the way back in 2011, will be no more as of February 28, 2018.

It’s probably not surprising due to the advanced age of the game at this point, but it certainly marks the end of an era for a game that spawned three excellent Dark Souls games, and spiritual successor Bloodborne.
