Konami of Europe has today announced that it will publish Death Jr on the PSP. Since the game was shown at last years DICE, it has been gaining a lot of attention, making the once tech demo into a full blown game.

The game, developed by Backbone Entertainment, is a third person action shooter staring Death Jr. Death is a mischevious young chap who unwittingly unleashes an ainchient evil. He must fight hordes of demons and their master, ridding them before anyone finds out what has happened.

Andrew Ayre, President of Backbone had this to say on the surprise popularity of the character:

“It’s just amazing how well the Death, Jr. character has been received. The excitement from the press and consumers alike has been thrilling.”

As well as the game, the character has a comic book, collectable figures and a movie in development. Certainly a far cry from the insignificant life that was originally planned for Death Jr. We will bring you more news on the game as it is available.
