Variety’s The Cut Scene video game blog reports that EA Redwood Shores, the studio responsible for upcoming horror title Dead Space, is undergoing a name change as part of a larger effort to establish the brand.

The Cut Scene’s Ben Fritz recently met with Glenn Schofield, head of EA Redwood Shores, and learned that EA is keen to establish the studio, both to gamers and potential employees, as a place synonymous with creativity, originality and high quality third-person action adventure titles.

Fritz also notes that it’s only the team headed-up by Schofield that is getting a new name. Previously this team was just a part of EA Redwood Shores.

There’s currently no word on what the studio’s new name will be.
