EA has today announced that Dead Space, its highly anticipated survival horror video game, has gone gold and will go on sale across the UK on October 24 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC – the PC version had previously been scheduled to hit stores a week after the home console versions.

Additionally, players who pre-order the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of the game from Play.com will be given access to a platform specific suit within the first two weeks of the game’s release. An exclusive code obtained by pre-ordering from Play.com will allow Xbox 360 gamers to download the Elite Suit, while PlayStation 3 gamers will be able to download the Obsidian Suit. Each suit will feature increased toughness and inventory slots. The offer expires on November 7.
