Following reports that a PC version of Dead Space 2 wasn’t planned, EA’s Jeff Green has given hope to PC gamers wishing to continue their survival horror adventure on their top spec rigs.

“Rumour fact check: There *will* be a PC version of Dead Space 2. Worry not!” tweeted Green.

However, his tune quickly changed.

“Fact checking my fact check: Dead Space 2 PC is just “Under Consideration.” DOH I’m just an excitable PC dork. Should I start the petition?” read a later tweet. “Sorry for misleading/jumping the gun, y’all! But let’s cross our fingers!”

OK, so a yes turned into a maybe, but that’s still better than a no.

Dead Space 2 is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011, thus far confirmed only for PS3 and Xbox 360.
