Dead Rising owners told to squint and bear it

There have been a lot of complaints coming from people playing Dead Rising on standard definition sets. Apparently the in-game text too small to read when viewed on a normal TV, although the severity of the problem seems to depend on the size of the TV and the person who’s looking at it.

Anyway, the bad news is that Capcom isn’t doing anything to fix the problem. Speaking to 1UP.com a Capcom spokesperson said how the game “was optimised for HD,” and “due to the amount of text and size of the patch necessary to change the text, a patch isn’t possible for this issue.

So, those of you having problems are out of luck.
