Dead By Daylight players must hurry with vote to decide future Killer and Survivor in cool mini-game 

There’s a lot of exciting chapters to anticipate for Dead By Daylight. In July 2025, we are getting two licensed survivors, and the current belief is that they might be from The Walking Dead. After that, we will be treated to an original Chapter in September based on Asian folklore, before getting another Licensed episode in November. While BeHaviour’s plans are fantastic, Dead By Daylight players can vote right now in a cool mini-game to decide a Killer and Survivor for the future.

How to vote for future Dead By Daylight Killer and Survivor

BeHaviour Interactive has opened The Grimoire. This is an online choose-your-own-adventure story that, pending on the community’s answers, will shape a Killer and Survivor for the future.

You have a backstory to decide for the Survivor and a shape for the Killer, and below is the tale with the choices available:

Survivor:

Fog flurries around you. It chills your bones and whips across your blinking eyes. Your steps are heavy. The darkness is infinite, stretching out in every direction. Every fiber of your being tells you to keep walking. To stop here is to die.

Memories claw their way back to your subconscious. Something has taken you. Pulled you from your home into this black landscape of endless storms.

Tell me: Where is home? Where do you come from?

• An ordinary World
  • My world is just like yours; familiar, mundane, and predictable
• A Collapsed World
  • The apocalypse isn’t coming, it’s happening. My world is unravelling, swallowed whole by ruin and chaos
• A Touched World
  • In my world, supernatural events are rare but undeniably real. Most people go their entire lives without witnessing them
• An Arcane World
  • In my reality, what you call the arcane is our science, gods are fuel, and humanity believes it holds the rains

Killer:

You emerge from the silence. The ceiling, the walls, the floor, the statues that surround you. They are all made of stone. A crypt? A vault? Your head swims.

You roll over to get to your feet when you come face to face with a puddle pooling in a worn-out-groove set into the floor.

You stare into the rippling water. The form that stares back at you is difficult to make out. But its shape – your shape – soon becomes evident.

Tell me: What shape do you see staring back at you?

• Grounded
  • An unhinged, cold-blooded human, cruelty personified. Examples: The Legion, The Trapper, Serial Killer
• Supernatural
  • A dark presence with powers unknown tied to a mysterious world. Examples: The Plague, The Wraith, The Vampire
• Otherworldly
  • A maddening, incomprehensible horror from beyond reality. Examples: The Dredge, The Unknown, Eldritch Abomination
• Chimeric
  • A twisted creation of nature, somewhat natural, definitely monstrous. Examples: The Artist, The Singularity, Werewolf

You must vote before 9AM PT/12PM ET/5PM BST on June 30th. If you miss out, you needn’t worry as another opportunity to vote will arrive “every two weeks,” presumably meaning the week of July 14th.

The future Killer and Survivor will ultimately be decided by the most-picked answers from the community. We’re extremely excited to see what the final results are as it’ll either be a terrifying behemoth or, most likely, an alluring succubus.
