Dead By Daylight Game Director has told fans to “stay tuned” for news of a sequel Chapter, and we hope that this is alluding to a second FNAF Chapter based off previous comments from BeHaviour Interactive. The FNAF DLC came out earlier this year, and it immediately became the most popular DBD Chapter so far by smashing the player count record previously established by Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. There is more Five Nights At Freddy’s incoming with a Springtrap skin included in the October 2025 roadmap, but, of course, fans are hoping for a second Chapter in the future. While nothing is confirmed, it appears BeHaviour are working on a sequel DLC.
Dead By Daylight tells fans “stay tuned” for sequel Chapter
Dead By Daylight YouTuber, The King, has just uploaded another new interview with DBD Game Director and head of partnerships at BeHaviour Interactive, Mathieu Cote. This time the interview is asking the director questions from the community.
The first question is “Why don’t we see more repeated licensed chapters in Dead By Daylight?”. Mathieu Cote referred to the second Resident Evil Chapter, Project W, as an example, immediately clarifying that they interpreted the question as asking about Chapter sequels.
While not giving anything away, Mathieu Cote simply said, “stay tuned”. This doesn’t confirm anything, but it seemingly implies that a sequel Chapter is being worked on or is at least planned. There have been rumors of Resident Evil Part 3 for the delayed January Chapter, but this was seemingly dismissed by community manager Eric Pope.
A third Resident Evil DLC would be exciting, however, there’s potential for other licenses Dead By Daylight has collaborated with in the past. For example, another Silent Hill Chapter would be intriguing, as would Stranger Things to coincide with its final ever season.
Although it would be unlikely for Year 11, a second FNAF Chapter is perhaps the most requested. After FNAF launched earlier this year, BeHaviour discussed the prospect of a second Five Nights At Freddy’s DLC. BeHaviour said they would “love” to do a second Chapter and that they believe the Mimic would be a good Killer.
In this same interview with The King, Mathieu Cote was asked about the possibility of adding an FNAF Survivor. While acknowledging the disappointment from some about the omission of a Survivor, Cote said, “I can never talk about the future”. Again, this doesn’t confirm anything, but it is open to interpretation.
A second Chapter with FNAF is not confirmed, but BeHaviour and Scott Cawthon do have a good rapport. Mathieu Cote recently shared that FNAF’s “extremely protective” creator heaped praise on Dead By Daylight to other license owners, which suggests that both Cawthon and BeHaviour would be open to the possibility of collaborating again.
