Dead By Daylight The Walking Dead PTB is now available to play. BeHaviour has revealed the perks for both Rick and Michonne, but the unfortunate news is that Michonne is disabled from the PTB. Her character model is viewable, and players can use her perks, but she’s not playable due to technical reasons. While this is unfortunate for the PTB, even more concerning is the DBD character models. While Michonne and other Walking Dead stars look great, Dead By Daylight developers appear to have struck Rick Grimes with the ugly stick.
The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes looks really bad in Dead By Daylight
Following the release of Dead By Daylight The Walking Dead PTB, a lot of DBD players have pointed out how bad Rick Grimes looks, especially in comparison to Michonne and the legendary Daryl skin.
On X, a user called howyoulikematt said, “this is a genuine assassination i’m so sorry @andrewlincoln why do you look like nick cage dlc”. Excluding the fact actor Andrew Lincoln was wrongly tagged, the images used are horrendous. The skin is way too smooth and undetailed, and the hair looks as though it was set to the lowest settings.
Rick’s bizarre appearance is even more bewildering when compared to Michonne and Daryl. In screenshots shared by Dvveet, Michonne looks immaculate with a highly detailed face that expertly resembles actress Dania Gurira, and her dreads are flawless and some of the best hair in all of Dead By Daylight.
The Daryl Dixon Legendary outfit looks great, too. Sure, it’s not as detailed as Norman Reedus in Kojima’s Death Stranding, but it still strongly resembles the actor and the hair isn’t abysmal.
Rick does look a lot better in the hospital gown skin, so it’s difficult to explain why he looks so bad for the other outfits. Hopefully it’s something BeHaviour will fix before the full release on July 29th as right now players are saying it’s Nick rather than Rick.
