The next Dead By Daylight update arrives on September 23rd. This is Chapter 37, for which BeHaviour have revealed the perks for Killer, The Krasue, and Survivor, Vee Boonyasak. While the public-test build includes a bunch of other changes, a datamine has shown that the next Dead By Daylight update will include a “Bloodpoint bonus” that is seemingly omitted from the PTB patch notes.

Next Dead By Daylight includes “Bloodpoint bonus” omitted from patch notes

Coinciding with the release of the Chapter 37 PTB, BeHaviour shared the patch notes for 9.2.0. These changes are only active in the public-test build that is restricted to DBD players on Steam. The patch notes include a bunch of Killer and Survivor update as well as bug fixes and more, but apparently there’s more to the patch notes than meets the eye.

According to a datamine from leaker, Wazzup, shared on LeaksDBD by OP, TheOneWhoWasDeceived, update 9.2.0 will add a Bloodpoint bonus. The screenshot shows a code that reads, “The Bloodpoint multiplier bonus added for each unique hook (1.0 corresponds to 100 percent)”.

This obviously pertains to Unique Hook Bonuses for Killers. In the 9.2.0 patch notes, only the following is officially listed for Unique Hook Bonuses:

  • When hooking a Survivor that is different than the last hooked Survivor, the Killer gains the following effects:
  • 20% bonus to the next damage generator action (“kicking” the generator)
  • 10% Haste for 15 seconds
  • Breaking a pallet or damaging a Survivor removes this bonus
  • Reveal all Survivors outside of 40 meters that have less than or equal hook states for 4 seconds (think: basekit Barbecue & Chili)
  • These effects can only be gained when the Killer performs the hook interaction themselves.
  • The following Killers have a different set of bonuses:
  • The Blight, The Dark Lord, The Ghoul, The Hillbilly, The Krasue, and The Nurse
  • They get:
  • 10% bonus to the next damage generator action
  • 5% Haste for 10 seconds
  • The same aura reveal bonus as above
  • These effects are disabled when all generators are completed.

It’s unfathomable why the Bloodpoints bonus isn’t mentioned in the patch notes. As pointed out by one of the replies, “people have been asking for this back for years” and BeHaviour “need to claw back any good will from this community considering the last two updates”.

There is the possibility the Bloodpoint bonus won’t make it to the release of update 9.2.0 as BeHaviour is considering feedback from the community. So far, a lot of reactions to the patch have been overwhelmingly negative, although fans are happy with new Killer, The Krasue, and Survivor, Vee.
