A lot has leaked for Dead By Daylight just now, and it’s claimed that Predator is “most likely” the license for the upcoming delayed Chapter, meanwhile, Friday the 13th is reportedly “being worked on” for the future. This all comes as two new Survivor concept arts have been shared online. One of these Survivors is a muscle queen seemingly inspired by WWE’s Rhea Ripley, meanwhile, the other Survivor is allegedly the Paragraph previously scheduled for March. These original Survivors no doubt look amazing, but the biggest mainstream appeal of DBD is its crossovers. Nothing is official, but many fans will be hoping leaks about Predator and Friday the 13th are accurate.
Dead By Daylight leak claims Predator and Friday the 13th “being worked on”
Following the leak of two new Survivors, a Dead By Daylight “Info dump” claims that Predator and Friday the 13th are planned. Starting with Predator, the leak claims “BHVR has had Predator locked down since Alien… but kept [it] on the table for a while to spread it out”. It’s also claimed that “it is most likely” the license for the January Chapter that was originally scheduled for November before being delayed.
We know that the licensed Chapter for January will have two Survivors and one Killer. Other rumors have claimed it is a third Resident Evil DLC with Jack as the Killer and Ethan and Rose as the Survivors, but the idea of a third Resident Evil Chapter has been shut down by community manager, Eric Pope. This new leak is only claiming that Predator is “most likely” the January Chapter, meaning there is the possibility it may come to DBD later. While the Predator is an obvious Killer, it’s harder to pinpoint two Survivors. Arnold Schwarznegger’s Dutch seems an obvious choice, but other than Arnold there’s no iconic protagonist in the franchise. Naru from the excellent Prey would be a good choice, but perhaps too recent and niche.
While not a leak, DBD players have potentially spotted an in-game clue for Predator. As shared on the LeaksDBD subreddit, the FNAF map includes an arcade machine potentially hinting at the sci-fi series. BeHaviour typically includes environmental Easter Eggs hinting at future Chapters, but this arcade machine is by no means confirmation.
Away from Predator, the leak also claims, “Friday the 13th is being worked on, Jason Universe didn’t forget about Dead by Daylight”. Fortnite is adding Jason Voorhees as part of Fortnitemares, so Jason joining DBD seems more likely now than before when Mathieu Cote regarded the license as a legal nightmare. If Jason does come to Dead By Daylight, it’s possible he could be a Paragraph Killer, but Friday the 13th could also be given the full Chapter treatment by adding Jason as a Killer and Camp Crystal Lake as a map.
Remember that these are only leaks rather than anything official. Unfortunately, the OP behind the Reddit post is deleted, but so too is the OP who shared the two new Survivors. While nothing is official, it’s interesting that these details surfaced at the exact same time concept art leaked online.
