The current iteration of Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode is coming to an end. It was originally scheduled to end on September 2nd, but it was extended to September 9th. While it’s sad to see the limited-time mode go along with its Bloodpoints as daily login rewards, the good news is that it will come back and there will be a new deadly partnership of licensed Killers as revealed by Dead By Daylight leaks.
Dead By Daylight leaks reveal new 2v8 Killers
As revealed by prominent DBD leaker, Wazzup, 2v8 mode will have two new Killers for version 6 when it returns. These two new Killers are Pyramid Head and Dracula.
This leak comes courtesy of a datamine from the 9.2.0 PTB that has allowed Steam players to experience new Killer, The Krasue, and new Survivor, Vee, for Chapter 37. In addition to their mere conclusion for 2v8, Wazzup revealed that “Dracula had a new data file added that defines a third Wolf Form pounce [which will likely] be a part of his Innate Skill”.
The only licensed Killers we have received for 2v8 mode so far are Abert Wesker and Nemesis. This made sense as they are both from Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise, avoiding the legal headaches Mathieu Cote has previously discussed regarding licensed killers for the LTM.
While Pyramid Head and Dracula may seem a bizarre partnership from a superficial glance, it actually makes perfect sense from a legal perspective as they are both from Konami IPs, Silent Hill and CastleVania.
There’s no further mention of anything Konami-related by Wazzup, but this hopefully means BeHaviour and Konami are still in active conversations and thus we might get skins related to the new Silent Hill f. This is just wishful thinking and speculation rather than anything official or leaked.
