Disembodied Dead By Daylight Killer possibly revealed in cryptic DBD teaser after leaks unearthed survivor

While massive changes have been made to the Year 10 roadmap, the next Dead By Daylight Chapter is still coming out in September with the PTB arriving very soon. What we officially know about this imminent DBD Chapter so far is that it’s an original based on Asian folklore and that it will have a Killer and Survivor. The Survivor has already been leaked, but now we also might know the Killer thanks to a cryptic Dead By Daylight teaser.

Dead By Daylight teaser possibly reveals next DBD Killer

A cryptic teaser for the next Dead By Daylight Killer has been shared. The teaser is simply a female voice saying, “are you there?” in Thai. You can listen to the teaser in the embedded Reddit post below.

While the teaser is cryptic, it tells us that the upcoming DBD Killer is female. It also tells us that they are based on folklore from Thailand. This leads to the possibility of many different female spirits in Thailand folklore such as Kinnaree, but everyone is theorising that the Killer will be Krasue as it’s arguably the most famous female spirit from Thailand.

As for what Krasue is, it’s a disembodied female head that floats with organs and intestines dangling. The face is said to be young and beautiful, but obviously it’s a very disturbing image. As for the origin of the Krasue, they are said to be a woman reborn as a phut for committing sins during their life.

It’s hard to imagine a floating head as a Dead By Daylight Killer because of the impracticality of hooking Survivors. Speculating about the possibly of a Krasue, Dvveet believes that she could “have her body still for picking up and hooking Survivors, cosmetics, kicking generators and pallets… But then her Power would be separating her head/organs from the body for either stealth gameplay or advantages like going through windows, over pallets, etc”.

My dream mechanic would be a build up of a curse meter from looking in her direction while in “flying head” mode, and it would cause afflictions to the Survivor that they must look away from her to get rid of, etc!!

While the Dead By Daylight Killer being a Krasue is merely speculation, the Survivor has seemingly leaked. They are reportedly a young female drummer named Dailsay Joy ‘DJ’ Anurak. No perks or abilities have been shared, but she’s said to be from Thailand, is “confident, charismatic, fun and aloof,” and is “someone everyone wants to befriend”.
