Dead By Daylight developer has confirmed they are bringing back an ability in a future update following controversial nerfs to a perk.  Fans of DBD have a lot to look forward to soon with leaks spoiling the upcoming quests and rewards for Haunted By Daylight, as well as quests that reward Bloodpoints following completion for DBD Day. While these events are exciting, fans can also expect more updates focused on balancing and performance following the delay of the licensed Chapter in November to January. BeHaviour has shared their plans for updates between October to January, and now they should also include the return of a Survivor ability following a controversial Perk nerf.

Dead By Daylight dev confirms Survivor ability is coming back

Following the release of Chapter 37 starring The Krasue and Vee Boonyasak, Dead By Daylight players have complained about nerfs to the Tenacity Survivor Perk in update 9.2.0. On the BeHaviour Interactive forums, OP, Gatzechen, lambasted the nerf, saying “Tenacity was not a problem” and “it wasn’t broken” so why BeHaviour gutted it “makes zero sense”.

The OP said, “The whole identity of Tenacity was being able to crawl and recover at the same time. That’s literally what made the perk worth using”. In addition, “It gave you some options, some creativity, and at least a reason to pair it with stuff like Flip-Flop, Power Struggle, or even Unbreakable”.

Fortunately for players upset about the nerfs to Tenacity, BeHaviour Interactive community manager, Mandy, provided an encouraging reply. The community manager announced that the “ability to crawl and recover at the same time with Tenacity perk will be back in a future update”. Unfortunately, there’s no ETA for when the ability will return, but at least BeHaviour have heard the feedback and are undoing their mistake.
