DC Universe Online will include subtle tie-ins to the upcoming reboot of DC Comics’ line-up, according to Comics’ co-publisher Jim Lee.
Come September, the line-up of DC Comics titles is set to re-launch and will include major changes to continuity. Some of these changes will make it to the MMO world as well, Lee told Kotaku:
“I think we’re going to be able to tie into the relaunch in subtle ways in the game going forward.
“Maybe in terms of items you acquire in the game that might give players the ability to look like some of the new costumes.
“But there’s no realistic way to go in and re-skin all of these models that were already made.”
DC Universe Online was launched earlier this year for both PC and PS3.
Recently a new downloadable content pack featuring powers based off of Green Lantern was made available to the MMO.
