Free-to-play superhero MMO DC Universe Online is heading to Xbox One this spring, developer Daybreak Games has announced.

Previously released on PC, PS3 and PS4, the game lets players choose whether they to play as a Hero or Villain before letting them create their own character to fight alongside DC’s superhero and supervillains.

It isn’t yet known whether the Xbox One version will require an Xbox Live Gold account to play.

Cross-play functionality, meanwhile, which allows players to play with others across different platforms, is also coming to the PS4 and PC versions from January 25.

New Storylines involving Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, Zod, Lois Lane, Darkseid and Harley Quinn are also due to roll out later in the year. For more details on this year’s updates, head through to the DC Universe Online website.
