Zombie survival sandbox DayZ is finally out on the PlayStation 4 a whopping five years after first being confirmed, developer Bohemia Interactive has announced.
The game, which has been on sale in various forms of early access on PC since 2013 before launching into 1.0 on PC last year, was first announced to be heading to consoles back in 2015, although back then the first prototype wasn't expected until 2016. It took until 2018 before it appeared on Xbox One, but there was no sign of the PlayStation 4 version until now.
As for the future, Bohemia promise that post launch development will continue across all platforms going forward, with base building and other new features expected in the future.
