The standalone version of DayZ has sold over a million copies in just four weeks, creator Dean Hall has announced.
“Well, 1 million copies in 4 weeks. So much for the death of PC Gaming,” Tweeted Hall.
He added that the game has achieved “way beyond. way, way beyond” what he had imagined. “This gives me mandate now to make all the crazy games I ever wanted!”
All this has been achieved despite the fact the game is expected to remain in alpha until the end of the year. You too can be part of the game’s evolution by parting with £20 on Steam Early Access.
