Invader Games has announced that Daymare: 1998 will launch on PC this summer, with a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will arrive 'soon after.' No release date has been confirmed yet.

Daymare will be published by Destructive Creations and All In! Games, and takes the form of a third-person horror game featuring a diverse range of enemy models, 'minutely-detailed lifelike animations, attacks, and dismemberment.' It's also a massive 90s love letter, featuring tons of references to that era and classic survival horror staples such as backtracking, limited ammo, and save points.

You may recall that Invader Games attempted to remake Resident Evil 2 in the Unreal Engine a few years back, but the project was shut down by Capcom. However, once the official Resi 2 remake was in the works, the team were invited to Capcom to help drum up ideas for the project.
