A new Darkstalkers game doesn't seem likely at this point, but Capcom's thrown fans of the cult beat-'em-up series a bone in the shape of a costume pack for Street Fighter V. Well, it's better than nothing, I guess.

The Darkstalkers costume pack will retail for $14.99 and arrives on September 25, so you won't have long to wait. There's six outfits included in the bundle, allowing you to kit out certain characters in Capcom's latest fighting game to look like iconic combatants from Darkstalkers.

Specifically, there's Donovan (for Urien), Morrigan (Chun-Li), Lilith (Juri), Demitri (Ed), and Felicia & Khaibit for Menat.

Darkstalkers launched on the PlayStation in 1996 and spawned two sequels: Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge for Sega Saturn and Darkstalkers 3 for PSOne and Saturn. The series was remastered for PSN and Xbox Live Arcade in 2013, although poor sales of the compilation has left the future of the franchise up in the air.

Street Fighter V was released on PC and PlayStation 4 in February 2016, and despite a slow start has evolved into a full-fledged brawler thanks to the launch of the Arcade Edition of the game.
