Darksiders II will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in summer 2012, THQ has announced. A Wii U version is also planned for the launch of the console.
News of the release date came as THQ released a new trailer featuring anti-hero Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Death must redeem is brother, War, the horseman who was blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.
Jim Huntley, vice president of Global Brand Management at THQ commented: “We are really looking forward to allowing players to take on the role of the ultimate anti-hero and this trailer gives them a real taste of what it will be like playing DEATH.”
