Dark Souls, the hard-as-nails action RPG developed by Fromsoftware, is to be released across Europe and the UK on October 7. The game will arrive on US shores on October 4.
The Fromsoftware title is the spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed Demon’s Souls and features tense dungeon crawling, fearsome enemies and online functionality. A Dark Souls Limited Edition can be pre-ordered at retailers Game.co.uk, Play.com, HMV.com, Amazon.co.uk and Shopto.net at the same price as the standard edition.
Limited Edition buyers will be treated to an art book containing premium illustrations of characters and environments from the game, a mini-strategy guidebook, behind-the-scenes videos from the development studio detailing various stages of game concept, design and building, and the game’s soundtrack for digital download
