Bandai Namco Games has unsheathed a new Dark Souls Remastered gameplay for you to feast your eyes on, preparing us for the inevitable arse kicking that comes part and parcel of the brutal action-RPG.
Dark Souls Remastered polishes up the original dungeon crawling epic for modern platforms, and runs at a buttery-smooth 60fps on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There's a Switch version coming too, although that recently got pushed back to summer. The Remastered edition also comes with the Artorias of the Abyss expansion, so you get the full Dark Souls experience.
Dark Souls Remastered is due for release on PS4 and Xbox One on May 29. The original game was released back in 2011 for last-generation consoles, and is something of a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls. However, while that title was essentially a cult hit, Dark Souls propelled From Software's compelling marriage of hard-hitting combat and unrelenting difficulty to mainstream success.
