The PC version of Dark Souls 3 will run at 60fps, Bandai Namco has confirmed. Confirmation follows a rumour earlier this week suggesting the game would be capped at 30fps.

The console version’s framerate has yet to be formally confirmed, but you should probably expect it to run at 30fps, similar to last year’s Bloodborne.

The Dark Souls franchise has previously been criticised for its PC ports, with the original game requiring a fan mod to uncap the 30fps limit. Dark Souls 2, meanwhile, did allow for 60fps, but an alleged bug caused weapons to degrade twice as fast as a result of the higher framerate.

Dark Souls 3 launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on April 12.
