Dark Souls 3 will launch across Europe in April 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Bandai Namco has announced.
The date means that From Software’s latest action-RPG will arrive in the West one month after its Japanese debut on March 24.
Some players will have the opportunity to play it way before then, however, in a Network Stress Test due to arrive on PS4 next month.
Running from Friday, October 16 through to Sunday, October 18, the test will let From Software evaluate server load, balance the game, and eliminate any remaining bugs. Access will be restricted to a limited number of users who register on the Dark Souls 3 website, with registration opening at 4pm BST tomorrow, September 18.
Successful applicants must be a PlayStation Plus member in the Americas and Asia, although the same rule does not seem to apply in other parts of the world. Applicants will be selected at random and must agree to take part in all sessions, From Software says.

Earlier this year, game director Hidetaki Miyazaki told VideoGamer.com that Dark Souls 3 would be a “turning point” for the series, but confirmed that it would not be “the final product” in the franchise.
He also suggested that he may be interested in exploring sci-fi or ninja themes for future games.
