Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin’s release date has been brought forward to Thursday, April 2 in the UK, Bandai Namco has confirmed to VideoGamer.com. The game had previously been due on April 3, with a North American release following on April 7.
While Namco has yet to confirm a reason for the release date change, it’s likely due to April 3 being Good Friday – a bank holiday in the UK. However, it also brings the game one day closer to Bloodborne, From Software’s new PS4 IP that releases one week earlier on March 27.
Due for release on PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin includes the original game plus all three previously released DLCs: Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions also include support for 1080p and up to 60fps.
