Pre-order numbers for Dark Souls 2 are 50 per cent higher than those of its predecessor, Namco Bandai has told MCV.
“We have everything going for Dark Souls 2,” explained product manager Gary Chantler. “The PR and community teams have been incredibly hard at work since the game was first revealed. They have been working like mad getting the game through the specialist and mainstream press channels.”
The news follows last month’s announcement that Dark Souls 2’s Collectors Edition had sold out, with the Black Armour Edition also believed to have sold out at some retailers in the weeks since.
The game launches on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 14. A PC release date is set to be announced “very soon”.
