If like us Burnout Paradise Remastered has ignited your thirst for a new entry in the adrenaline-pumping franchise, then Three Fields Entertainment's latest pair of racers are probably the nearest thing you're going to get for a while.

For those unaware, Three Fields was created by Fiona Sperry and Alex Ward, the founders of Burnout developer and celebrated UK studio, Criterion Games.

The two new games in question are Danger Zone 2 and Dangerous Driving, both of which give off a distinct whiff of Burnout.

Danger Zone 2 is out for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One next month and sees you taking to the freeways and motorways of the US and UK, attempting daredevil crash testing with all-new vehicles and objectives, plus Fast and Furious-style boosting and drifting mechanics.

Meanwhile, Dangerous Driving arrives later this year and takes the form of a competitive racer that definitely channels that Burnout magic as you boost, crash, takedown, and generally smash your way through your rivals in high-speed antics.

'We're taking all that we've learnt to develop our most ambitious title to date,' commented Ward. 'Dangerous Driving gets me back to making arcade racing, the kind of software I am most passionate about.'

Criterion Games was snapped up by Electronic Arts back in 2004 and made its last Burnout game (the aforementioned Burnout Paradise), back in 2008.

In 2014, the studio teased a new racing game was in the works although EA later confirmed that Criterion was no longer pursuing the project. Instead, it collaborated with EA DICE and Motive Studios on Star Wars Battlefront II.
