Thunderful Publishing has given upcoming action roguelite Cursed to Golf a release window of Summer 2022.

You take on the role of The Cursed Golfer, who’s killed in a freak golfing accident. However, you can earn your way back to the lend of living by (of course) making your way through Golf Purgatory. Naturally, this isn’t your normal golf course, and instead it’s a world with insane hazards, crazy powerups and ghostly caddies.

The idea then is to make it through a series of levels dressed up as ‘holes’ in as few shots as possible. You’ll have a par number of shots though, lest you’re forced to restart the course. Expect high powered fans, TNT boxes, teleports, spikes and plenty more. Luckily, you’ll also be able to collect Ace Cards which give you amazing pinball-like powers you can use. Some of these include Rocketball, U-Turn, Scattershot and Mulligans.

Ahead of the game’s release, a free limited time demo will be available on Steam from today until March 27. It’ll give you an idea of what to expect, including letting you try out some of the trickshots you can pull off. You’ll also get to take on the first boss of the game in the form of The Scotsman.
