As part of Crysis Monthly Update #1, Crytek Community Manager Alexander Marschal has revealed that there will be no 1.3 patch for Crysis, much to the annoyance of the game’s community.

“At this time, there almost certainly will not be a patch 1.3 delivered for Crysis. We are aware that this news will disappoint many of you, and we would like to apologize profusely,” said Marschal.

It wasn’t an easy decision to make and Marschal adds that “there is a good reason” and hopes fans will “understand” when they hear more in the “very, very near future”.

He continued: “We are confident that the things we are working on will be appreciated by the community, and we hope for your continued support.”

Although stopping direct support for Crysis, it does sound as though Crytek could be about to announce the game’s first expansion. Expect to hear more in the next Crysis Monthly Update later this month.
