Crysis 2 has been taken off Valve’s Steam service, with the game’s listing on EA’s new Origin service stating the title is now available “only on Origin”.

‘Only on Origin’ you say, but that doesn’t appear to be 100 per cent accurate – at least not yet. Crytek’s FPS sequel can still be purchased in digital form from Amazon, Impulse and Direct2Drive.

Despite the removal of Crysis 2 from Steam, many other EA games remain available for purchase, including Bulletstorm, Dragon Age II and Shift II. The newly released Alice: Madness Returns appears to be one of the new “only on Origin” titles – but also Amazon and Direct2Drive.

EA announced its Origins stores earlier this month and said some special edition versions of their PC titles will be made available only via the service.
