Criterion, confirmed late last year as the developer of a new Need for Speed game, has stated internet reports on Need for Speed: Out of the Law feature no factual info.

According to reports, Need for Speed: Out of the Law is set in the fictional Sun-Bay with racing focussed on street cars rather than sports cars. The game is also reported to feature police, only they’ll be riding around in unmarked vehicles.

All that, however, is fake, says Criterion.

“NFS stories on the net today – 100% FAKE!” Tweeted the developer.

You’ll find more on the supposed NFS leak, along with two supposed artworks, over on nfsgame.net.
