Big Ant’s Cricket 14 will release in the UK on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC later this year, the developer has announced.
The game had previously only been confirmed for an Australian release.
Home Entertainment Suppliers Pty Ltd, publisher of the recent Rugby Challenge 2, will be publishing the title in the UK.
Alongside confirmation of a UK release, HES also announced that the game had been retitled ‘Don Bradman Cricket 14’ after the late Australian cricketer.
“It is indeed an honour to be able to bring the greatest player to a technology savvy generation of fans in what promises to be the greatest cricket game of all time,” said Sebastian Giompaolo, managing director of HES.
“Big Ant Studios have been working hard on this title for four years and we at HES are really excited with what they have been able to achieve. It is far superior to any cricket game in the market.”
The news follows last week’s confirmation that 505 Games’ rival Ashes Cricket 2013 had been delayed until November.
Alongside a Career Mode that follows the career of an aspiring young cricketer, Don Bradman Cricket 14 features a “complete player physics system”, dynamic weather and pitch degradation, and an online save system that lets players continue their online games from where they last left off.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are expected to follow next year.
