The developer behind Alien: Isolation has confirmed it is beavering away on a brand new IP, confirming previous hints last year from a series job openings. Yeah, it's a shame it's not a sequel to the 2014 survival horror title, but we're still pretty stoked.
Not only is the studio working on fresh IP, but Neill Blomkamp, director of District 9, has had a gander at it. Lucky git! That's about all they'd share, although it's still good to hear regardless.
People have obviously been crying out for an Alien: Isolation sequel, but it seems the game didn't set enough tills alight to warrant a follow-up. There is a new Alien game in the works, but that's a mobile game and hasn't really set the world on fire yet.
