Speaking to OXM about the vehicle creation element of Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, producer Shaun Read has revealed that game testers have managed to create a huge range of transportation devices.

“In the early days of testing, people were coming back with just four wheels, a seat and engine,” said Read. “But as the months went by, some of the creativity blew us away. People get as much enjoyment from that part of the game as any.

“We’ve got the full complement of Star Wars vehicles, all working. We’ve even built the USS Enterprise and a space shuttle with the boosters detaching. It’s amazing that you can make all these things and that’s when we knew we’d nailed it.”

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is sounding cooler by the second and we’re desperately hoping it will be possible to create a De Lorean DMC-12, hit 88 MPH and travel back in time to play enhanced versions of the N64 classics. OK, we’re dreaming, but it’d be the best secret unlockable of all time.
