Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, the remake of Naughty Dog's masterpiece, is out today, and there are some strange issues with its online mode, as reported by IGN.
Chief amongst them is a strange bug, which causes your opponents to flash in and out of existence. The problems are being reported on social media by numerous people:
Question to @BeenoxTeam @CrashBandicoot @Activision…is Crash Team Racing Online supposed to play this badly? I'm hoping there'll be a patch soon â™‚ï¸ I know bugs are expected but this is somewhat disappointing. #CTRNitroFueled #CrashTeamRacing @IGNUK @ign #PS4 #PS4Share pic.twitter.com/vd18Ze0Rb8

As you can see, it seems as if other online players are being disconnected, and it's causing them to blink in and out of existence.
The game's developer, Beenox, is aware of the issue, and it has tweeted the following response:
As CTR Nitro-Fueled launches globally and our online service is ramping up, we are monitoring feedback and making adjustments to the game. An immediate fix is in the works to address the online multiplayer experience. We appreciate your patience and we will keep you posted.

We'll have to keep an eye on the game's online and how it develops. This is, obviously, launch day, and so it makes sense that there might be a few kinks to iron out in this otherwise dazzling racer.
