Party Hard was an interesting 2D stealth strategy game released in 2015 where you played a serial killer who’d had enough of far too raucous parties (hey, we’ve all been there) and decides to get some peace and quiet by murdering as many guests as possible in creative ways before escaping. A sort of Hitman meets Hotline Miami, if you will.
The sequel is currently in development, but the good news is that developer Pinokl Games has been releasing free alpha builds to give you an idea of how things will change in the sequel as it moves into a sort-of 2.5D style with 2D sprites, and as of last night a new one level Xmas Alpha build has been released.
It’s absolutely free, and it’s noted in the announcement from Tiny Build that the developer decided to go back to the drawing board to redesign key parts of the game since it’s first Alpha back at PAX West.
There’s no release date for the full version of Party Hard 2 yet, though it’s currently pencilled in for a 2018 on Steam. The original game later made its way to consoles too, though there’s no word if the sequel will follow suit as of yet. You can sign up and download the Xmas Alpha on the Party Hard 2 website.
