A all-new Conker game series will launch inside Project Spark on April 23, Microsoft, Team Dakota and Rare have announced.
Project Spark developer Team Dakota is handling development of the series with full blessing from Rare.
Conker’s Big Reunion will be the first in a new episodic series featuring the much-loved and foul-mouthed squirrel. The experience takes place 10 years after the events of Conker’s Bad Fur Day and finds Conker in need of reconnecting with his old friends.
Chris Seavor, the original Conker voice actor, provides his voice to Conker and we’re told players will also encounter familiar characters and challenges.
Conker will also be the first external IP to be added to Project Spark, giving players all the tools they need to create their own Conker video games. The Conker Builder Pack will be the largest released for Project Spark, offering between 200-300 assets, including characters, props, terrain materials, visual effects, music and sound effects.
Conker the Champion will also be available in Champion’s Quest and Crossroads.
As for how much all this will cost. Project Spark remains free to download on Xbox One and Windows 8.1, but pricing for the Conker content is yet to be settled on. Conker’s Big Reunion: Episode 1 and the Conker Creation & Champion Pack will be available separately or together as a bundle. Episode 1 will be priced in the range of other episodic games. The Creation Pack will also be priced in according to its size.
