SEGA has confirmed today that High Voltage Software’s heavily publicised Wii exclusive FPS, The Conduit, has been pushed back and will now hit stores in the UK on July 10.

No reason for the two week delay was offered by SEGA.

In The Conduit players take control of Mr Ford, a Secret Service agent who has been sent to Washington D.C. to eradicate a vicious alien race known as The Drudge. Players will be armed with an array of futuristic weaponry and an intelligence-gathering device called the All-Seeing Eye.

Much of the game’s appeal has stemmed from the developer’s claims that the title leverages next-generation technology to deliver a cutting edge experience on Wii, unlike any other title on the console.

We’ll find out if High Voltage’s title lives up to the bold claims very soon.
