2K has released a new comparison video highlighting the visual upgrade given to BioShock as part of the soon to be released BioShock: The Collection.

The video below features snippets of footage from the first game’s opening moments, with viewers able to see for themselves how much better the remastered edition is looking.

The new collection features remastered versions of BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, each with 1080p graphics and up to 60FPS.

Also check out the new teaser trailer for Episode One of “Imagining BioShock”, the Director Commentary series which can be unlocked by finding Golden Reels hidden throughout Rapture in the remastered version of the first BioShock. Fans can watch nearly two hours of director’s commentary, featuring Ken Levine, creative director on BioShock and BioShock Infinite, and Shawn Robertson, animation lead on BioShock and animation director on BioShock Infinite.

BioShock: The Collection launches September 16 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The PC edition does not feature a remastered version of Infinite as 2K deems this game to be up to current generation standards.
