Comanche is a new military helicopter simulation game coming from developer Nukklear and published by THQ Nordic, as announced at Gamescom.

Comanche was a series of simulation games from the ‘90s developed and published by NovaLogic. THQ Nordic has nabbed the name, but this iteration will be a ‘modern, team-based online multiplayer helicopter shooter’ rather than an arcade single-player experience.

Players will defend high value targets in their helicopters with intense dogfighting mechanics and employ special abilities to gain an edge in aerial battles. An interesting feature are the drones, that will reach where big 'copters cannot and will duke it out on a miniaturised stage. Different Comanches will have different strengths and weaknesses, and even the drone types will possess unique capabilities.

Comanche will come to Steam Early Access in early 2020. Watch the gameplay teaser trailer below.
